audio commentary on Learning Objects

Much of the excitement of Learning Objects (LO) has died down! Why hasn't the term and the confusion that the term creates been replaced with something less dramatic (how about learning assets?) How can educators feel confident relating to a term that has remained so elusive.

Hi Ted:

You are reading my posts correctly. I will be extremely short with this reply and would like to speak/email in more detail.

LO's (IMHO) - in my humble opinion
1) are too expensive on SME, ID, tech person and resource impact.
2) like most learning have many complex objectives as are therefore
too hard to evalutate
3) may be limiting for students with special needs.
